Durham Christmas Festival

• The Durham Christmas Festival is a festive three-day winter event held each December in Durham city centre. It features three main market areas—the Craft and Producers' Marquee on Palace Green, the Festive Outdoor Market in Market Place, and the historic Durham Market Hall—offering seasonal gifts, local foods, and entertainment against the backdrop of Durham Cathedral and Castle

Beamish Museum

• At Beamish Museum, Christmas is a magical journey through time. Running from late November through Christmas Eve, the open-air living museum in County Durham transforms with twinkling lights, festive smells of woodsmoke and baking, historic decorations, and costumed staff showcasing how past generations celebrated the holidays
